Hyperperfusion syndrome, previously known as posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome (PRES), is a clinico- radiological entity with characteristic features on neuro-imaging. It is believed to be caused by vasogenic oedema, predominantly in the posterior cerebral hemispheres.
